NameFor Trees Wirral
DescriptionIt is absolutely vital that we value, and conserve, trees which we already have, with their biodiversity and dependant wildlife. While tree planting is essential, it is important to recognise that mature, veteran and ancient trees cannot be 'replaced'. Wirral has lost over 6,000 public trees within the last 5 years. We campaign to halt this continued felling. In protecting biodiversity we support a ban on toxic spraying of vegetation, and other destructive practices such as excessive mowing, and vegetation reduction. We recognise; Trees also prevent flooding, lock up carbon, block harmful radiation, filter pollutants and contribute to our general health and well-being.For Trees Wirral.
