The plant employs ten N90/2500 wind turbines and has an installed capacity of 25 MW, generating approximately 84,000 MWh annually. The clean energy produced is the equivalent to the energy consumed by 20,500 homes and will save almost 36,000 tonnes of CO2.

Falck Renewables Wind are working in partnership with Energy4All to promote community owned schemes across Scotland.  A community owned co-operative is in development for Assel Valley to provide benefits to the local community. The co-operative will purchase a stake in the Assel Valley wind farm and receive an income from the electricity generated.

Local people and renewable energy supporters nationwide will have the opportunity to purchase shares in the co-operative.</dc:description>
