    <dc:description>We offer training, delivery and consultation in best practices in restorative approaches. We are the first restorative agency in Wales to achieve the national Restorative Services Quality Mark from the Restorative Justice Council.

A Restorative Approach is an ethos and value base for working with people, rather than to or for them. It encourages a consistent mind-set and positive value base which can be embedded simply, successfully and sustainably, enabling cultural change to take place.

The aim is building, maintaining and repairing relationships. To be restorative means believing that decisions are best made and conflicts best resolved by those most directly affected by them. Restorative practices embrace early intervention, prevention and response and include a focus on accountability and responsibility, openness, mutual respect and inclusion. Restorative Approaches include formal Restorative Justice techniques, within organisations, the criminal justice system and communities, but is much wider and holistic.

WRAP provides services and activity across 4 main areas:
1.      Influencing Policy and raising greater awareness of the benefits of Restorative Approaches
2.      Developing and delivering collaborative Programmes and Projects
3.      Training, Development and networking activity for all stakeholders
4.      Consultancy, Support and training services

We predominantly work across five service areas:
1.      Education
2.      Criminal justice
3.      Families
4.      Communities
5.      Business.

WRAP works with a wide range of organisations in Wales and beyond.
Some issues addressed and improved within communities, families and organisations with restorative approaches are:
•       Relationships and co-operation with service users, and within teams and organisations
•       Meeting needs
•       Engagement and participation and effective communication
•       Challenging behaviour
•       Conflict resolution and problem solving – professional or personal
•       Reduction of offending and re-offending
•       Victim engagement and satisfaction
•       Skills and confidence to resolve conflict issues effectively
•       Safety and harmony in groups and communities
•       Partnership development and problem solving
•       Transformation in working practice and environment
