    <dc:description>Fetlar Wind was set up by the community in Fetlar to take forward a modest renewables project for the island. It has four directors and a company secretary, of whom all but one are currently based in Fetlar. They bring a range of skills and experience to the project from both the private and third sectors. They are supported by the Fetlar Development Worker, who has assisted with project coordination.

Fetlar Wind is constituted as a Community Benefit Society (sometimes referred to as a BenCom).

This is a form of co-operative and as such is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The board is elected by the members at the AGM with each shareholder having one vote regardless of the number of shares they hold. Any surplus generated will be donated to a local registered charity, Fetlar Developments, to advance various community projects.</dc:description>
