NameThe Gather Ennerdale
DescriptionAfter a period of closure in 2010, the community came together in early 2011 to raise the finance to purchase the lease of and reopen the pub. Such was the depth of feeling, that the necessary finance was raised in a matter of weeks. With the hard work by local volunteers the pub was refurbished and reopened in April 2011. We are a traditional Lakeland Inn located in the beautiful Lakeland Valley of Ennerdale and approximately 1.5 miles from Ennerdale lake. Situated in the centre of the village opposite the church, and over one of three small bridges in the village, we have three comfortable spacious en-suite bedrooms, a large secluded beer garden and a cosy bar with two welcoming log fires. There's an excellent selection of local ales and offer hearty traditional pub food cooked on the premises from locally sourced ingredients.
