    <dc:description>In 2006 we the residents of the Wenlock Barn Estate claimed the legal right to manage our homes. We formed a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) and we get an allowance from Hackney Council to carry out the cleaning, grounds maintenance (gardening) and day to day repairs. We also carry out general housing management. These day to day services are provided by our contractor Pathmeads who we employed after an extensive selection process.

A voluntary elected Board of residents (tenants and leaseholders) meet every month to scrutinise the work, discuss and consult on funding and future plans for our estate from crime prevention and new building developments to parking, play areas and community social events.

The TMO employs a Manager and Officer to oversee the day to day running and finance of the TMO and to ensure that the decisions of the board are implemented. We promote an equal opportunities policy and actively seek feedback and membership from all Wenlock Barn Residents.

We hold the purse strings on behalf of residents and we seek to be actively involved on all matters that affect our area, empowering residents to take control where we all live.</dc:description>
