DACC was formed in 1994.  As a Society for the Benefit of the Community (Registered Society No. 28016R), it has charity status with the Inland Revenue .  Our Management Board is made up of volunteers, and any financial surplus is used to improve the care DACC provides.  DACC currently holds contracts with Durham County Council Social Services Department.  It is currently talking to a number of other agencies with the aim of expanding its operations.</dc:description>
